Balboa Island, in Southern California, has street after street of quaint and quintessential beach cottages, with all streets leading to Balboa Bay. This little blue sailboat was tied up on the sand at the edge of the bay, probably belonging to a child of one of the residents, or perhaps it is used as a way to get from a larger boat to the beach? It looks well used, but also well taken care of, and I loved the color! If you visit Southern California, be sure to find time to walk around Balboa Island!
