Description
On this morning at Cannon Beach, Oregon, the tide was out, there was no wind or rain, and the temperatures were in the 60s (F), so lots of people were out for a beach walk. Morning mists clung to the shore, rocks, and cliffs, giving an eerie but serene feeling to the scene. The low tide created beautiful reflections of the sky and the people walking on the beach.
The Oregon Coast is very different from Florida's warm, white sand and blue-green water. In Oregon, the coast is wild and rough, often with strong, cold winds, rain or deep fog, and strong waves. The water is dark blue, choppy, and sometimes has big breakers that can bring in dangerous, full-sized logs. Pines and Firs grow right up to the coast and often grow on the huge rocks that stand like sentinels in the surf. There are high cliffs and rocky coves, but there are also miles and miles of gorgeous, wild beach.
