A silent sailboat gliding under the Sanibel Causeway Bridge, through the gold and lavender light of early morning, The power boat is heading out toward the Gulf of Mexico, past Sanibel Island. Sanibel Island is about 70 miles south of Sarasota, Florida, and is a barrier island off the coast of Ft. Meyers. The two are connected by the Sanibel Causeway Bridge.
