A Sailboat with it's navy blue hull and yellow-striped sail, was just passing out of the shadow of the Ringling Bridge (the dark blue line in the water) on its way out toward Big Pass and the Gulf of Mexico. Directly behind the sail is Bird Key, and farther in the background is Longboat Key. People traveling over Ringling Bridge pass through Bird Key, then Coon Key, followed by St. Armand's Key. St. Armand's Circle is a lovely tourist destination with a huge selection of beautiful shops and restaurants. Beyond St. Armand's, you'll cross over to Lido Key, or you can head North to Longboat Key and Anna Maria Island. All of these spectacular barrier islands surrounding Sarasota provide a tropical paradise for residents, snow birds, and vacationers.
