Description
Series of 6 photographs of a beautiful pair of Great White Egrets building their nest. This male appeared to be doing a courting dance with a nest-building twig in his mouth. He danced through the air in very unusual ways, and she must have been impressed, because they began nest-building in earnest shortly after his dance. Photographed on the nesting island called the Venice Rookery, Venice, Florida. A number of other bird species also build nests on this island, and a pair of large alligators live in the water surrounding the island.
