Balboa Island, in Southern California, has street after street of quaint and quintessential beach cottages. Many are "antique" houses and have unique and character-filled features like real gas lights, beautiful stonework, arched windows and doors, and wrought-iron fences. Though these cottages are packed closely together, each has its own special little courtyard entrance patio, filled with potted plants, comfy seating areas, and lovely iron, stone, or picket fencing.
