Another beautiful Florida sunset, photographed on Lido Beach in July when the almost daily thunder storms create fantastic cloud formations. The crowd on the beach are all watching the sunset and the many Black Skimmers and other shore birds as they do their last minute fishing, then settle on the beach for the night. The beach is on Lido Key, a barrier island off the coast of Sarasota, Florida. Here the waves are rarely big, making a perfect place for kids and adults to cool off without being pounded by waves. These South West Florida beaches on the Gulf of Mexico provide an ever-changing view of tropical skies, beautiful seas, sugar-white sands, and amazing wildlife.
