Sarasota, Florida has a huge number of lovely vintage houses in what some call "Old Florida Style." Typically, this style is Italian Renaissance, as this one is, but there are coastal cottage styles, bungalows, Key West / Victorian, and many other styles from the 1920s through the 1950s. This example is in the downtown area known as "Laurel Park", where there are strict rules in place for maintaining the historic homes. This original photograph has been digitally watercolored with a deckled border to add to the vintage feel. A watercolored version without the border as well as the original photograph are also available in my “Florida Architecture” gallery.
