Sailing Hobie Cats is a popular water sport in Florida. This beautiful little Hobie Cat with its brilliant blue sails was photographed off the coast of Lido Beach, Sarasota, Florida. Lido Beach faces the Gulf of Mexico where the surf is usually pretty mild and friendly. But you still have to watch the skies for thunderstorms that can come up and quickly turn a lazy day sailing calm waters into a serious situation. This time, though, the clouds and surf stayed friendly and the sailors and photographer had a great day at Lido Beach! This original photograph has been given a digital watercolor treatment and is signed and year-dated by the photographer/artist. There are two different versions of the watercolor effect in my Coastal & Tropical gallery. See which you like best!
